Nippers

Nippers are aged between 5-12 years. Woodside Nippers is a great opportunity for children to be introduced to an active, friendly, and tight-knit local community – as well as building valuable life skills that will accompany them into adulthood.

Not only will your child have fun and meet new friends, they will develop the ability to become a knowledgeable participant in lifesaving beach patrols as well as a wide range of surf sports.

At the completion of the program, when your child finishes the Under 13 Program, they will be equipped to gain their Surf Rescue Certificate and should they wish, to become a qualified surf lifesaver who can patrol our beaches and provide a service to the community.

Nipper members (Children 5-12 years) are required to:
Pay the annual membership fee as part of a Family Membership. At least one parent/caregiver must be registered with a child. Parents of Nippers can become family members of the club with an appropriate Family Membership package. A Family Membership entitles the Parents to use of club facilities and have all the benefits of a Social Sunset Crew membership, but not use of the gymnasium or club equipment.

Have fun and gain the confidence to become a qualified lifesaver in future.

Youth

Our Youth Program is for those aged 13 to 18, providing them with a range of opportunities to find what they enjoy within surf life saving and encourage and support that.

Youth members are required to:
Pay the annual membership fee. Must be part of a family membership to the age of 14 years and then can progress to Active Membership if parents are no longer members of the club from 15 years of age.
